Jill is the owner, director and full time resident at Boulder Knoll. She has worked with children of all ages for over thirty years, both in the classroom and in the outdoors. A graduate of Bowdoin College, Jill has a Masters of Special Education from St. Joseph’s College, an American Montessori Society Administration Accreditation from the Center for Montessori Teacher Education/New York, an International Montessori Teaching Diploma from the North American Montessori Center, and a CT Teachers Certification in Special Education (Prek-12) and Social Studies. She is a UCONN Certified Master Gardener, and trained to teach children’s yoga with Joy of Yoga in New Haven, CT. She loves to share her passions for sustainability, world cultures and language, music, mindfulness, and the natural world with the children of Boulder Knoll. Jill also enjoys working with families as they navigate the journey of parenthood. Jill owns and lives on the property of Boulder Knoll Montessori with her two dogs and assorted chickens, and takes great joy in managing the property, maintaining the gardens and making maple syrup annually in the Boulder Knoll sugar shack. Jill hikes, travels, skis, reads, knits, builds, weeds and kayaks in her free time. Both of Jill’s young adult sons are Boulder Knoll alums.
